Challenge

To lead the digital transformation of the pharmaceutical industry, Handok faced the challenge of integrating the latest IT technologies to revolutionize relationships with customers, partners, and employees while maximizing business efficiency. Most existing pharmaceutical solutions operated on Windows-based systems, which led Handok to adopt the Microsoft Azure and M365 platforms to optimize costs and improve efficiency. A key priority was to enhance security and establish an integrated authentication system. By leveraging Entra ID, Handok sought to unify its security and authentication framework while implementing organization-wide digital transformation.

Solutions

Handok partnered with Cloocus to establish a digital workplace based on Microsoft Azure and M365. This initiative enabled the company to integrate security and authentication systems across the organization and maximize operational efficiency. Through Entra ID, Handok unified its authentication and security systems within the Microsoft platform and adopted the Microsoft Sentinel solution to stabilize its security projects. The company also built a big data platform on Azure and conducted a Proof of Concept (PoC) with Azure OpenAI to prepare for AI adoption. In terms of cost optimization, Handok consolidated multiple service partners under Cloocus, reducing costs and creating an optimal ROI environment. To strengthen employees’ capabilities in utilizing solutions, Handok provides regular AI and prompt training, accelerating company-wide digital transformation and fostering a secure, efficient work environment.

Benefit

The digital transformation project has significantly improved productivity and business efficiency. Real-time data processing and integrated management have become possible, reducing the time required for data visualization from five minutes to ten seconds, thereby dramatically enhancing work speed and accuracy. Handok also successfully integrated and stabilized its organization-wide authentication and security systems, creating a more robust and secure IT infrastructure.
