[Cloocus X Wiz] Capture The Flag Seoul 2026 Event Recap

On July 16th, Cloocus partnered with Wiz to host the first-ever ‘Capture The Flag Seoul 2026’. The event welcomed practitioners who use Wiz solutions in their day-to-day work, featuring a packed agenda that included presentation sessions sharing cloud security insights, hands-on sessions built around the Wiz platform, and networking opportunities.

Here’s a look back at the day.

🎤 Presentation Sessions | Sharing the Future Direction of Advancing Cloud Security

The event kicked off with presentation sessions from Wiz and Cloocus.

Wiz opened by outlining the emerging security risks organizations face today and how to address them, focusing on three key areas: AI application security, PQC (Post-Quantum Cryptography), and DSPM.

In the AI application security session, Wiz introduced ways to gain visibility into internal AI assets and detect potential threats. The PQC session covered strategies for transitioning cryptographic systems in preparation for the quantum computing era. And the DSPM session explored how to identify data scattered across cloud environments and prioritize risks accordingly. The session tackled these core challenges facing cloud security leaders and drew strong interest from attendees.

Following this, Cloocus introduced the Cloocus Cyber Security Center (CSCC) — Korea’s first Wiz-dedicated organization — showcasing its end-to-end security support system, from consulting to ongoing technical support. Cloocus also shared its growing technology partnership ecosystem, which is expanding into AI security and automation, and outlined its vision of ultimately building toward an “AI SOC.”

💻 Hands-on Session | Experiencing Security Operations Firsthand with the Wiz Platform

After the presentations, participants moved into a hands-on session where they got to work directly with the Wiz platform.

Using a pre-configured environment simulating real-world security vulnerabilities, participants worked through challenges one by one — living up to the event’s “Capture The Flag” name.

With prizes on the line for the winners, the energy in the room was intense. As the live leaderboard shifted in real time, you could see how locked in participants were — a clear sign of just how engaged they’d become.

This kind of hands-on experience with the full cloud security operations workflow inside the Wiz console gave participants practical, real-world know-how — and it showed in the high satisfaction across the board.

🤝 Networking Day | A Space for Sharing Real-World Insights

Once all the sessions wrapped up, the day continued with a networking session for all attendees.

Participants shared how they use Wiz within their own cloud environments, and openly exchanged questions and challenges they’ve encountered in their day-to-day work. Cloocus’s dedicated Wiz engineers were also on hand, helping answer questions and engaging directly with practitioners.
